Lada de păstrat valori, secolul al XIX-lea

Lada de zestre minerească sau lada de păstrat valori, este caracteristică asociațiilor meșteșugărești (breslelor) din perioada medievală până în anul 1872, când acestea au fost desființate. Lada, care seamănă mult cu un cufăr de călătorie din secolul XIX, este făcută din lemn și este consolidată cu ferecături care au valențe artistice. În această ladă erau păstrate obiectele de valoare, documentele mai importante și resursele financiare. Lada provine din zona minieră Chiuzbaia.

Dowry chest, 19th century

The mining dowry chest or the chest for storing valuables, is characteristic for the craftsmen associations (guilds) from the medieval period until 1872, when they were dissolved. The chest, which looks a lot like a 19th century travel trunk, is made of wood and is reinforced with fittings that have artistic values. In this chest there were kept the valuable objects, the most important documents and the financial resources. The exhibit comes from Chiuzbaia mining area.
